is a mountainous desert located at altitudes ranging from 9.000 ft to 25,000 Ladakh is a land abounding in awesome physical features, set in an enormous and spectacular environment. Bounded by two of the world's mightiest mountain ranges, the Karakoram in the north and the Great Himalayas in the south, it is traversed by two other parallel chains, the Ladakh Range and the Zanskar Range.

Set against the backdrop of snow-capped Pir panjal, ranges, Jammu Marks the transition between the Himalayas in the north and the dusty plains of the Punjab in the south, bridging these two extremities by a series of scrub covered hills, forested mountain ranges and deep river valleys. The sounthernmost unit of the state of Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu region is traversed by the Shivalik hills, temples and quenched by the rivers Ravi, Tawi and Chenab

ITINERARY

Day 01
Arrival/Srinagar:
Meet upon arrival and transfer to Deluxe Houseboat. Late afternoon Shikara ride on Dal Lake visiting floating and Vegetable gardens etc. Also witness walnut woodcarving and Papier Machine making demonstration. Overnight stay in Deluxe Houseboat at Srinagar.

Day 02
Srinagar local:
Morning visit to the Shankaracharya temple (Shiva temple) which commands one of the magnificent view of the Srinagar City and the lakes. After breakfast sightseeing of Mughal Gardens, visiting Nishat Bagh (Abode of pleasure) Built by Asif Khan Brother-in-law of Emperor Jehangir in 1632 AD and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) on the bank of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountain in the background. The distance from Srinagar to the said gardens is about 12 to 15 kms respectively. Enroute visit carpet weaving Factory. Overnight stay in Deluxe Houseboat at Srinagar.

Day 03
Srinagar / Pahalgam:
After breakfast drive to Pahalgam (valley of shepherds). The distance of about 100 kms will be covered in about 3 hrs. Enroute visiting Saffron fields, Awantipora ruins (1100 yrs old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiverma), see the beautiful countryside on the way and lot of rice fields. Drive through pine forests. Arrive Pahalgam transfer to hotel. After lunch have bridle walks and feed your cameras with the picture of magnificent view of mountains.Overnight stay in Hotel at Pahalgam.

Day 04
Pahalgam:
Free for individual activities. One can visit Chandanwari (snow bridges) or Aru on ponies. Overnight stay in Hotel at Pahalgam.

Day 05
Pahalgam/ Gulmarg:
After breakfast drive to Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) 2730 Mts above sea level. The distance of 160 kms will be covered in about 4-1/2 kms. Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes in the world and highest golf course of the world with 18 holes. 0ne can also have the view of Nanga Parbat if weather permits. The view enroute from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. One can also have a short trek up to Khilanmarg which can be covered in about 3hrs.Also enjoy sledge riding on snow or Gondola ride (Cable car) up to Khilanmarg to enjoy the fascinating view of Peerpanchal range and for pony ride.Overnight stay in Hotel at Gulmarg.

Day 06
Gulmarg / Airport :
After breakfast leave for Srinagar Airport which will take 1-1/2 hours to reach the airport to connect the Flight for further destination.
